Working on an article: Frugal Beauty Favorites!

What are your favorite beauty products that you can find at the grocery store/drug store for under $5, $10 or $20? I have found that I don't need to spend "designer" prices for beauty products to get great quality. But at the same time, I have a few things that I feel the need to splurge on, too. What are your favorites?

I'm Back!

Hey, McFrugal fans! I must apologize for being absent for so long, but McFrugal was pregnant all last year and added a new little deduction to the family last fall. I'm finally getting back into the swing of things!!

And just in time, too, there should be a Container Store sale coming soon, right??

Kiplinger agrees with McFrugal!

Had to post this link! Kiplinger agrees with McFrugal that there are some amazing things at dollar stores that you are silly not to be taking advantage of! (They even include the pregnancy tests as I did!) They got further to show the items that are NOT deals. A good read for sure! Check it out.

Semi-Annual Sale at Bath and Body Works!

It's one of my favorite times of year for online shopping that doesn't involve Christmas: The semi-annual sale at Bath and Body Works starts online today!

It's the usual savings of up to 50% on lots of great items, including gift sets. B&BW is also changing some of it's product packaging and formulas. To get out with the old and in with the new, they have put all the anti-bacterial items in the old packaging on sale for %50 off and their lotions are $4. All Wallflowers are $5.

But, you know McFrugal, it always gets better than advertised. There is a "Hello" shopping bag on the site being sold for $2.50. Buy the bag online and automatically get get 10% off your purchase. PLUS you'll get an email for 10% every online purchase you make until July 5th! AND take the bag into any B&BW store and get 10% off purchases there!

New WallFlowers in Colors on B&BW.com

Bath and Body Works are now selling Wallflower plug ins in colors! Check out the site HERE! They are very fun!!

Right now they are on special 4 for $20 or 6 for $24! That is only for these individual starters and individual refills.....I will get to that later. (there seems to be no shipping offer a this time, but that's about as low as they go in cost.)

The new scents of the Wallflowers are being sold INDIVIDUALLY.....usually they come in packs of 2. But, these are $6.50 for one (when not on special). Packs of 2 are usually $12.50. Now, it looks as though they have removed some of the packaging, which is a good thing. But, why are they more expensive without the packaging? (this is speculative, since I am only going by the images on the web, but look for yourself.) I am wondering if this is the future of Wallflowers: less packaging, but higher price. Does not make sense.....or scents......or cents....... :)
